ClubAid: Ordering drinks made easy

In my last post I introduced the hi-fi prototype of the ClubAid application and showed you how it can help you find and check-in at a club. Now I will show you what great things you can do with it once you have entered the club or your choice.

This is the main menu, which displays the major functions of the app. At the bottom left you see the wardrobe button. This option allows you directly pay for the wardrobe and to receive a digital receipt. This way, you don’t have to worry about losing your wardrobe ticket.

Now, let’s move on to the most important function, which is ordering drinks. As you can see here the drinks menu consists of several slider bars. The screenshot shows a complete selection. However, you start with seeing only the top slider. Once you have selected your drink category, you will be presented with further options, as each slider appears consecutively. You can add as many drinks as you like, and are presented with an overview of your order after each entry. Once you have completed your order, simply send it to the bartender and pay digitally.

Since music is a very important aspect of the clubbing experience, we have created a function which allows you to view the title and artist of the song currently playing as well as request your own favorite song. If you like, you can request it for karaoke and sing along with the lyrics.

The fun button on the main screen brings you to this menu. Here you can see all the fun elements we have added to the app. First of all, you can see here which or your friends are in the club, so you can look them up. Also you can find some nice dance moves and opening lines, or spin the wheel of fortune to win a special prize, such as a free round of drinks.

So what are you waiting for? Get your ClubAid now! Just kidding, you can’t. We are currently testing our prototype with our target group, after which we will present it to our class, members of faculty and some potential investors. So, perhaps, in the future…
