I know; it’s been a while. But I’m back. The past couple of weeks (or should I say month?) have been quite busy and a lot has happened with the ClubAid project. Because we’ve entered, and by now almost finished, the design phase of our project, I thought it would be nice to show you what we’ve been working with the use of some pictures.
Brainstorming
To decide about the different functions that our app could include, our group conducted a brainstorm session in which we thought of quite a lot of ideas. As you can see below, we structured these ideas into concept maps. We have used these concept maps as the basis for determining the contents of the app and its menu-structure.
Storyboards
What you see below are examples of the storyboards we created to illustrate the different scenarios in which ClubAid can be used. The first storyboard shows Charlie and his girlfriend, who are on a daytrip to Utrecht. They want to end the day with some drinks and decide to look for a place nearby. ClubAid helps them in selecting their venue, navigating towards it and, once inside, paying for the wardrobe.
The second storyboard shows David. He is in a club by himself and is looking for some company. He sees a nice girl at the bar and consults ClubAid for a savvy opening line. David is successful as the girl decides to dance with him. He checks his ClubAid to find some nice dance moves. When they get thirsty David decides to try his luck and spins the Wheel of Fortune. He does so successfully as he wins 2 beers for him and his new friend.

Lo-fi Prototype
Of course we haven’t forgotten about ClubAids primary function, which is to order drinks. Some screenshots from our low fidelity prototype below illustrate how easy it is to order and pay for drinks with ClubAid.
Next up: the hi-fi prototype! We are currently still working very hard on it, so you will have to be a patient. But let me tell you, it’s looking great already!

See you soon!
